Where do our donations come from and where do they go?

ASG gets most of their nonperishable food from our generous Green Bag Donors who give monthly or every other month. We currently have about 5,500 Green Bag Donors in Guilford County.

ASG also collects wholesome perishable foods from food industry businesses such as grocery stores, restaurants, food wholesalers and more that have an excess.

All donations go to vetted nonprofits in Guilford County. Below are the lists of our Food Pantry Partners and our Corporate Donors.

BackPack Beginnings * Second Harvest Food Bank * Jewish Family Services * The Family Room * Open Door Ministries * West End Ministries * Ward Street Mission * Burns Hill Comm Food Pantry * Drawers of Hope * Grace Point * One Step Further * School Food Pantries * Food Pharmacies in Pediatrician and Obstetrics Offices * Head Start Food Pantries * First UMC, A Shared Blessing Food Pantry * Community Outreach of Archdale and Trinity (COAT) * Greater First United Baptist Northwood Community Pantry * High Point Community Clinic * Cone Health MedCenter for Women * First Christian, Five Loaves, Two Fish Food Pantry

White Christmas

This year the decorating committee for the Christmas Luncheon is getting their inspiration from using items that can be found in nature or recycling items that people do not want to use this year. To do this they need your help in collecting lots of pinecones of all sizes. The button below will help you get the instructions to treat the pinecones so that there are not any hitchhikers.

Also, in need of white or silver ornament balls. Do you have a flocked tree you could share for the event or some glass vases? If yes, the directions also tell you how to get with one of the committee members to help out.
